Hide the Active Directory Folder in My Network Places (Windows 2000) Category: Home > Security > Network
This restriction is used to remove the Active Directory folder from My Network Places. This still allows users to search but not browse the Active Directory. Open your registry and find the key below. Create a new DWORD value, or modify the existing value called 'HideDirectoryFolder' using the settings below. Exit your registry, you may need to restart or log out of Windows for the change to take effect.
